Simply put, we dream of a world in which children can be children and people are given the ability and opportunity to dream.
Many children in Cambodia lose their innocence and childhood at a young age, whether it be through working or abuse-related situations that the cycle of poverty creates. Many Cambodian nationals have never been given the opportunity to pursue a dream; they wake up and do what needs to be done each day in order to survive and live to the next. When poised the question “If you could do anything, what would you do?”, most are not even able to comprehend what it means to have a choice.
This is why we are going. We believe our paths and heart’s desires collided with the Kingdom of Cambodia for very specific reasons. As we settle after our move, we are confident the Lord will continue to bring those reasons to light.
